Brazon Dublin
Established in 1198 before licensing laws were
enacted, The Brazen Head stands alone as Ireland’s oldest and most
famous pub. This pub has an outdoor stone courtyard for the summer,
and three indoor rooms for your enjoyment. As Dublin’s best music
venue, The Brazen Head is just a short distance from The Guinness
Brewery and Christchurch Cathedral. As an award winning restaurant,
it is known for serving famous Irish stews, and Guinness and beef
stews. They have four established menus, the A La Carte Menu, the
Bar Menu, the Tour’s Menu, and their Wine List. Soon they will also
be a Whisky menu. There lunch menu is served Monday through Friday
between 12:00pm and 2:30pm, and they are open seven nights per
week.
The A La Carte Menu includes dishes like the soup of the day,
Atlantic Seafood Chowder, Deep Fried Brie, Pasta Carbonara, and
Honey Glazed Half Roast Duck. The Bar Menu includes selections like
The Dublin Bay Prawns Sandwich, Fresh Cod in Beer Batter, and
Brazon Bangers and Mash. The Tour’s Menu includes traditional
dinner selections, like Menu D, which gives you a choice of sides,
entrées, desserts and is served with tea or coffee. The Wine List
includes a South African Wine called Drostdy-Hof Steen Chenin
Blanc, and a wine from Chile called De Martino Sauvignon Blanc.
Traditional Irish music and ballads are featured at the pub, with
famous bands like The Rye River Band and The Brazen Hussies. The
Brazon Head has been visited by the likes of famous American stars,
such as Garth Brooks, Van Morrison, and Mary Black. You can also
purchase Brazen Head merchandise, which includes The Brazen Head
whiskey glass, Brazen Head baseball caps, black and white Brazen
Head T-shirts, and a book called, “Tales from the Brazen Head” by
