An Irish Pub located at 20 West Division Street in Chicago, Illinois, Butch McGuire’s is famous for its Bloody Mary’s, Brunch, and brightly lit Christmas décor. This pub was traditionally establishes as a singles bar by Butch McGuire’s in 1961. McGuire was one of the first bar owners in Chicago to hire female managers and bartenders, and it is said that over 5000 marriages have occurred throughout the life of this bar, as singles have come to mix and mingle. McGuire was credited to be the first to serve a Bloody Mary. He also created the drinks “Harvey Wallbanger and Skip” and “Go Naked Cocktails”.
