Ginger Man

The Ginger Man bar first began in Houston, Texas in 1986, then moved to Dallas and Austin, and is now a very popular bar in New York City. The Ginger Man is located at 11 East 36th Street New York, NY 10016, and boasts about 160 types of bottled beer, and seventy taps that dispense lagers and ales. They are open Monday through Thursday 11:30am to 2am, Friday 11:30am to 4am, Saturday 12:30pm to 4am, and Sunday 12:30pm to 2am. The Ginger Man is owned by Brewmaster Scott Vaccaro. The Ginger Man features draught beer, bottles of beers from different countries, wine and spirits, and Beer-to-Go. The Ginger Man draught menu includes amber, pale, and brown ales; bocks, fruit beer, stouts and porters, and specialty brews. It also includes wheat beer, cask conditioned, cider and barley wine. The Ginger Man serves Australian beer like Cooper Extra Stout and Cooper’s Sparkling.

They have Belgium beers like Cantillon Kriek and Chimay Rouge. They even have American beer like Budweiser, Alesmith Mikkeller Stone Belgian Style Triple Ale, Alesmith Wee Heavy Scotch Ale, and Left Hand Sawtooth Ale. Their wine and spirits selections include white, red, and sparkling wines. It also includes sake, whiskey, bourbon, single malt scotch, non-chill filtered single malt scotch, blended scotch, tequila, and mescal. With their vast selections, it would be hard not to find something for everyone’s palate. The Ginger Man holds several fun events for customers playing online games, like the Meet the Brewer Series and NY Craft and Beer Week. You won’t miss the visual affects either, with beautiful chalkboard art by Julie Gaither. According to their website at http://www.gingerman-ny.com/, The Pubcrawler.com said, “No beer bar anywhere, and I mean anywhere, can compare to The Ginger Man.” Accordingly, with a wide selection of beers from around the world, they meet this standard.
